AERIAL SURVEY & INSPECTION (TRACEAIR) Aerial surveys provide state-of-the-art technology to our LD teams. Drone technology like TraceAir’s helps our teams save time and money by improving efficiency and reducing the risk of error and delay. TraceAir also provides better project oversight for Century divisions that are challenged by diverse geographic community locations and limited resources. TraceAir is required to be set up and in operation prior to the Notice to Proceed (or at contract execution on to-be-developed lots by a Third-Party) until the on-site paving has been completed and accepted, at minimum. Divisions are welcome to continue to scan their communities through the construction process if desired. Please contact NLD with any questions or for any training needed to efficiently use aerial surveys to their full potential. The division Land Development Professional will manage TraceAir support, including, but not limited to, the following steps: A Request a proposal from TraceAir, and review against current enterprise pricing and agreement terms. A Include Lot Viewer and Lot Slope Analysis as final exhibits to support pad certification and the substantial completion lot turnover process as needed. A Coordinate the delivery of final approved plan files, surfaces, and drawings for the project from the design team to the TraceAir team. A Manage and update any changes in design files throughout the project. A Review project scans upon receipt (or more frequently) as a part of continuous project management. A Share and encourage the use of Aerial Survey with all Trade Partners and consultants. Care should be taken when sharing with municipalities, as the information can be used against us in levying fines or other less than desirable outcomes. A Use TraceAir for quantifying materials installed to confirm invoicing, combat change orders, documentation for back charges, and more. A Use TraceAir for documenting finish conditions during improvement turnover walks.
