Construction Management Roughly 30 days prior to construction start, the Construction Manager will arrange for the mock-wall construction with both the Supplier and Installer. The Construction Manager will extend invitations to Century’s National Purchasing Team, National Architecture Team, National Operations Team, the Third-Party Auditor, and the City Inspector to evaluate wall construction. Be sure to address the following items: • Verify correct UL-rating on plans • Verify all materials are compliant per UL-rating detail • Ensure all necessary tools are available Any questions or concerns will be addressed on site, and if necessary, changes will be made to plans, details, etc. The wall assembly will remain on site for training purposes (for different install crews). Construction Start The division is responsible for notifying the National Operations team of any upcoming new firewalls being built. They can do so by completing the Firewall Inspections SNOW ticket in the Century Toolbox. They along with the National Architecture team will review and the approve the UL-Rating, Manufacturer, and Plan Details prior to the homes going vertical. The National Operations team, Construction Manager, Third-Party Auditor, and Supplier will be present on the jobsite for the first production firewall installation. Subsequently, the Construction Manager and Trade Foreman will accompany the City Inspector during first inspections. Any items called out by the Inspector will be addressed by the Trade Partner/Supplier the same day. Any possible reinspections will be completed by the National Operations team along with any additional supporting members if necessary including National Architecture, Third-Party Auditors, or Inspectors.
