BRICK – SHED ROOF
WALL CLADDING A. Wood framing in contact with brick or mortar is wrapped with a membrane capillary break material such as Butyl tape or 1 layer of Grade D building paper. B. Through-wall flashing installed one course minimum above counter flashing, extends flush to the face of the brick and has end dams at the frst vertical joint and is integrated with the water- resistive barrier (WRB). C. Weepholes installed in at a maximum spacing of 33" o.c. and at end dams. Weepholes are located immediately on the through-wall flashing. D. Masonry that will not be visible at home completion is still installed in a structurally sound manner and able to transfer the load above to the foundation. E. Counter-flashing installed over apron flashing, folded and tucked into the mortar joint minimum 1/2" at one row below the through-wall flashing with sealant applied along top edge.
