C. Granite, marble or stone counter and vanity tops Granite, marble and stone counter and vanity tops should not have gaps at seams greater than 1/16th of an inch or deviate from level by more than 3/8ths of an inch over a 10-foot length. Counter and vanity tops that do not meet these standards will be repaired. Granite,marbleandstonearenaturalmaterialsthatcontainsomevariationincolorand texture. Natural variationsare not considered construction defects and are not covered under the Century Communities’ Warranty. Solid-surface variations in texture and colors are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. If repair or replacement is required, it may not be possible to match original material due to natural variations in materials. Damage not caused by Century Communities is not covered under the Century Communities’ Warranty. D. Cabinet units not level or not aligned Individual cabinets should not have a deviation of more than 3/16” out of level. Cabinet faces 1/8” out of line, and cabinet corners more than 3/16” out of line are considered excessive and should be repaired. E. Cabinet or vanity surface cracked Cracks in cabinet panels or drawers should not exceed 1/16th of an inch. Cabinets that do not meet this standardwill be repaired or replaced. F. Variations in cabinet or vanity finish Subtle variations in the finish and texture of wood cabinets such as knots, grain patterns and variations in color are natural features of wood products. Environmental factors such as light, humidity and the minerals and acids contained in wood will also affect appearance. These variations are not considered construction defects and are not covered under the Century Communities’ Warranty. Gap between cabinet or vanity and ceilings or walls Gaps between cabinets and walls or ceilings should not exceed 1/4th of an inch unless designed otherwise. Cabinets that do not meet this standardwill be repaired. Cabinet or vanity door or drawer is warped Door or drawer warpage will not exceed ¼” as measured from the face frame to the point of the furthermost warpage, with the door or drawer front in the closed position . Doors or drawers that do not meet this standard will be repaired or replaced. Cabinet or vanity doors are not aligned Cabinet and vanity doors that are adjacent to each other should be aligned to within 1/8th of an inch. Doors that do not meet this standard will be repaired.
