C. Door is warped Exterior doors will not warp to the extent that they become inoperable or cease to be weather resistant. A ¼” tolerance as measured diagonally from corner to corner is acceptable. Doors that do not meet this standard will be repaired or replaced. Door panel split Splits in door panels should not allow light to shine through. Door panels that do not meet this standard will be repaired or replaced. Door sticks or does not open or close properly Exterior doors will operate smoothly, except that doors may stick during occasional periods of high humidity or with variations in temperature. Door hardware is a high-use item that is also exposed to exterior weather conditions. Normalwearand tear and tarnishing is not coveredunder theCentury Communities’ Warranty. F. Storm Doors  TIP: In homes where storm doors have been installed, they should be removed during spring and summer to prevent excess heat from being trapped between the stormdoorandtheexteriordoor. Vented stormdoors are recommended for doors that face direct sunlight. Exterior door components that crack or melt due to improper maintenance by homeowners are not covered under the Century Communities’ Warranty. G. Garage doors Garage doors shouldoperateper themanufacturer’s specifications. Garage doors that do notmeet these standards will be repaired or replaced. Some entranceofwater andwindcanbe expected.Garagedoors canbe expected tomake noise when opening and closing. These conditions are not construction defects and are not covered under the Century Communities’ Warranty. Damage not caused by Century Communities is not covered under the Century Communities’ Warranty. H. Garage door openers Garage door openers installed by Century Communities should operate per the manufacturer’s specifications. Garage door openers are consumer products and are not covered under the Century Communities’ Warranty. If a garage door opener does not perform to themanufacturer’s specifications during the fit-and-finish warranty period, please consult your Customer Service Team for assistance in contacting the manufacturer or localdistributor.
