H. Sump pump and pit Sump pumps are installed in basements to remove water from the sump pit. Sump pumps should perform to the manufacturer’s specifications. Sump pumps are consumer products and are not covered under the Century Communities’ Warranty. If a sump pump does not perform to themanufacturer’s specifications during the fit-and finish warranty period, please consult your Customer Service Team for assistance contacting the manufacturer or local distributor. Damage that results from electric service interruptions is not covered under the Century Communities’ Warranty.  TIP: Homeowners should ensure that the sump pump is plugged in and operating properly, and that the sump pit is clear of debris. Homeowners should check to ensure that sump systems are operating properly during periods of heavyrain. I. Overflow of tubs and sinks Homeowners should not leave tubs and sinks unattended when water is running. Damage caused by overflowing tubs and sinks is not covered under the Century Communities’ Warranty. PART 15: POOLS AND SPAS Please consult your pool or spa warranty for Performance Standards and warranty information. Shingle or tile missing, buckled, punctured or curled Shingles should not have exposed punctures and should not buckle or curl. Shingles should not slide off the roof or be blown off under weather conditions that do not exceed the manufacturer’s performance specifications. Shingles that do not perform to the manufacturer’s specificationswill be repaired or replaced. During extreme weather events, roof shingles or tiles may be blown off or damaged by flying debris from winds that exceed the manufacturer’s performance specifications. Damage fromtheseevents is not covered by the Century Communities’ Warranty. Shingles or tiles have color or shading variations Environmental conditions such as sun exposure and air pollutionwill cause shingles and tiles to fade over time. Fading is not a construction defect and is not covered under the Century Communities’ Warranty. Roof tile is cracked or broken Roof tiles should perform per the manufacturer’s warranty.
