Damage caused by anyone other than Century Communities and modifications to plumbing installed by Century Communities made by others is not covered under the Century Communities’ Warranty. Homeowners are required to contact Century Communities immediately when a leak is detected. Tub or shower surround or enclosure leaks Tubs, shower surrounds and enclosures should not leak water into the interior of walls, flooring systems or the interior of other components as the result of faulty workmanship or defective materials. Shower or tub surrounds or enclosures that do not meet this standard will be repaired.  TIP: Homeowners are required to properly maintain shower and tub surrounds and enclosures to prevent leaks. Enclosurepanelsanddoorsarenotdesignedtohavewater sprayeddirectly at them. Damage that results from this action is not covered by the Century Communities’ Warranty. Homeowners are required to notify Century Communities immediately when a leak is detected. E. Roof Leaks Shingles, vents, flashing and louvers should not allow water to enter the house under normal conditions. Roof components that do not meet this standard will be repaired or replaced. Leaks caused by weather conditions that exceed the design specifications of the roof are not covered under the Century Communities’ Warranty. Homeowners are required to properly maintain roofs. Modifications to roofing systems made by anyone other than Century Communities are not covered under the Century Communities’ Warranty. Homeowners are required to contact Century Communities promptly when a leak is detected. Roof leaks caused by extreme weather conditions that are not covered under the Century Communities’ Warranty may be covered by the homeowner’s insurance policy. Wall, window, skylight or door leaks Walls, doors, windows, vents, skylights and wall openings should be sealed to prevent water from entering the house. Walls, doors, windows, vents or skylights that leak as a result of a constructiondefectwill be repaired. See page 4 for garage door leaks. Homeowners are required to maintain doors, windows, vents, skylights and other wall openings. Consult your homeowner’s manual for details.
